SHRM has given her more meaning and depth in the work she does daily and has enhanced her critical thinking ability and leadership acumen while at the same time allowing her to see things from a global perspective. The self-paced Learning Management System and Instructor-Led classes, in the SHRM Certification, have many esteemed professionals from various industries, which Anaum said helped her stay up to date with the latest HR & Industry practices and the global trends.
The SHRM Competency Model is a comprehensive roadmap for HR professionals to develop a strategic mindset that leads to successful business outcomes. The SHRM Certification enables HR professionals to cultivate more-strategic leadership positions and, in turn, increase their efficiency while attaining a credential recognized worldwide for its focus on behavioral competencies and technical HR knowledge. Anaum aptly described the essence of SHRM Certification, “The strategic nature of course and study pattern is perfect for HR Generalist who aspires to bring more structure and compliance within their HR Systems while at the same time ensuring equitable workspaces for all. The knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through this certification address multiple facets of challenges that an organization faces and allows for a solution that is best for all stakeholders.”

Lastly, as a seasoned HR expert, Anaum gave the following advice to other HR professionals, “Go above and beyond the regular system/structure of education and invest in yourself personally and professionally to ensure that you don’t stop growing. Set a goal and identify the need, read books, network with people from different walks of life, take up projects, get certified, etc. just don’t ever stop or give up. Never let go of what you’re passionate about. Whenever you decide to be a part of a team, make sure that your own values are aligned with theirs, and if not, then move forward and settle down at a place where you belong. As long as your focus is on a purpose and not money, every day will become a reward for you.”
