It provides each individual with a perspective and acumen that will enable not only professional but personal growth and development.” She stated how the certification upskills professionals in all areas and enables you to apply knowledge and gain a solution-oriented approach that is logical, data-centric, and aligned with organizational goals and strategy. According to Madiha, the concepts taught in SHRM and their application help HR get to the center of the business and become a strategic partner in the organization’s success. Madiha is currently working as the Talent & Organization Manager for Unilever and has presently been working on Employer brand, Organizational Effectiveness & Analytics, Learning, and Talent & Performance. Madiha finds purpose in her work and operates a small catering business alongside her corporate career.
As a seasoned HR professional, Madiha further commented, “People believe that experience is everything; however, with the changing dynamics of the global world we operate in, HR professionals must invest in themselves, and this certification helps in gaining that credibility which coupled with experience makes one stand out in the highly competitive job market and industry.”
SHRM certification contains an SHRM Competency Model; HR professionals can use this competency model to increase their organizations’ effectiveness and stimulate growth and development. The SHRM Competency Model is essentially a roadmap designed for HR professionals to evolve a strategic mindset that leads to successful business outcomes. By attaining SHRM credentials, HR professionals gain the ability to master core competencies that are required to succeed in today’s challenging business environment. The SHRM certification in essence enables HR professionals to cultivate more-strategic leadership positions and, in turn, increase their efficiency while attaining a credential recognized worldwide for its focus on behavioral competencies and technical HR knowledge. For the organization, SHRM provides a competitive advantage in terms of human resources and empowers the organization to adopt the best global business practices.
